As the Futsal Super League continues to unfold, the match between League Champions Mengo City and rivals Kisenyi FC has this time become unsettling as Kisenyi FC faces struggle.
The match will be played at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday, November 21, at 9 pm. Both teams have so far played two games, but Mengo City has managed to win both, while Kisenyi FC is still winless.
Mengo City opened the league with a 10-1 win over Entebbe Cheaters, and in their last match, they beat Mbarara QC 3-2.
Kisenyi FC, meanwhile, lost 6-2 to Lubaga Grameen in their opening match and 3-2 to Kabowa Dream Team in their last match played three weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Mengo City clicked with their patterns. Players including captain Anthony Male, Farouk Tumwesigye, and John Musasizi continue setting the pace for the team.
On the other hand, Kisenyi FC is still struggling to close the gap left by last season’s best player, Ilyas Omran, who joined Old Kampala Futsal Club.
Similarly, they are missing their former captain Julius Kasagga, who is currently without a team, but Abdul Waleed Bashir and AbdulShakur Nsereko are tasked with lifting the team while everything is not going well.
The controversial match will close the schedule on November 21, following four other matches, including three Futsal Women Super League matches and one Men Super League match.
