On Friday evening, the 2024-25 Futsal Super League season will get into its tenth round of the campaign.

There are 6 matches on the card starting at 4:00 pm at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, the usual hosting venue.

On form side Mengo City and the villagers of Busunju Sparks shall battle in the early kickoff of the day. The battle seems to be a hard challenge for Sparks with the reflection of recent form where Mengo City have continued to fly high and higher.

Plascon

New boys Sharif Opuuli and Ian Tugume are in good form, Farouk Tumwesigye is the leading scorer for the side with 11 goals while Abdulkarim Tebela is another shining star for Mengo City who are in third place, three points behind leader Park FC who have 24 points.

For Sparks, things are worse being second last on the table with 7 points only bettering the pointless Edgars Youth Programme.

Other fixtures

The matchday shall continue at 5:00 pm with another clash between Nansana Aska and Kisugu FC as Aska looking to revamp their form from a heavy 7-0 defeat faced at the hands of Mengo City in the last outing.

For Kisugu FC recently they have been trying for their way back on track after losing 6 of their 9 games played so far with Michael Birungi commanding the performances.

Lubaga Grameen shall entertain Edgar’s Youth Programme in the third running game at 6:00 pm.

The meeting comes with Edgar’s still hunting for the first point of the campaign after losing all their 9 games.

Lubaga Grameen is going into the game with on-and-off performances but at least they are 9 points off the bottom as they sit 8th on the 12-log table.

The game is likely to end in Lubaga’s hands reflecting on the last game when they fought back against Kisenyi FC to draw 4-4. The nerves shown in that game indicate more difficulties for Edgar’s boys since keeping themselves in late moments of the game has been a serious issue in causing their bad form.

To follow it will be a neibours date between Kabuusu Clouds and Kabowa Dream Team coming up at 7:00 pm.

Kabuusu Clouds is likely to be much more intimidating with the rising form of Gaddafi Bazanyanengo and Tonny Ssemwogerere who have a combined 22 goals.

Whereas Kabowa is still better on the table sitting fourth with 18 points, 5 ahead of their neighbours, the Dream Team has been in doubtful form.

At 8:00 pm, Crown Lubiri shall return to action as they seek to return to their league fortunes following their first defeat of the season handed them by Park FC.

Crown shall be entertaining QC Mbarara a side which still looking to stabilise in the league as they are overcoming their slow start.

The most entertaining match of the night is anticipated to come last on the menu with Park FC taking on Kisenyi FC.

From the beginning of the season, Kisenyi FC has struggled to cover up the group of players that left for Crown Lubiri but they remain one of the best teams in the league.

Park FC has an edge but Kisenyi FC can easily rise on the big day to create excitement as they did against Crown in the. 6-5 win on Matchday 8.

The clash also carries an individual head-to-head between Abasi Muluya Junior and Elyas Omran battling for golden boot though Muluya has a 6-goal advantage over Elyas’ 15 so far this season.
