The group stages draw for the fourth edition of the Futsal Uganda Cup was conducted on an online meeting organized by FAU Competitions director Abubakar Kalule.
All the 15 teams attended the draws and were pitted in four separate groups of four ahead of the new campaign.
The competition, is set to kick off on August 30, 2023 at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
The 2022/23 Futsal Super League Champions and 2020/21 Futsal Uganda Cup defending winners Yeak Kabowa was pitted in group D alongside Park FC, Al Haramen FC and Motion Sports FC.
Group A has Luzira FC, Edgar’s Youth Program and Makerere University, while Kabowa Dream Team, ASKA, Friends of Football and First Touch Sports FC will make group B.
In group C, it will be a Mengo derby as Kisenyi FC were pitted alongside Mengo FC, Gods Glory and Pitch Pirates FC.
The four group winners and four runners-up will proceed to the knockout phase that culminates with the best of 3 final.
All these exciting games will be played at night to attract more fans.
The winner of this competition will be awarded with a trophy and medals.
The champions will also get a chance to play in the Futsal Super Cup against the 2023/24 Futsal Super League Champions.
