With the Futsal Season entering week two, the Women’s League has come to take the summit, with the first-ever league matches taking place this Friday, October 31, at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
The league, which is to run concurrently with the Men’s Super League, is set to kick off at 4:00 pm with Old Kampala Futsal Club Women taking on UG Kop Futsal Club Women.
An hour later, the second straight women’s game shall take the stage, with Lamansia Women facing Entebbe Cheaters Women, before the first Men’s game of the day.
At 6:00 pm, the event shall switch to the Men’s Super League as Lubiri Falcons face Lubaga Grameen. The Falcons will be seeking a second straight win in two games of the season, while Grameen will also be out for their second win of the season.
On match day 1, Falcons easily defeated UG Kop Men’s 6-0, and Grameen beat Nansana Aska 6-2, leading to Aska’s head coach, Sulaiman Ssekanyo, resigning from his first job since his resignation from Kisenyi FC last season.
After the men’s game, a highly anticipated women’s game shall kick off at 7:00 pm. Mengo City will be entertaining Mbarara QC.
With women’s games of the day done, two more men’s games shall follow. Kisenyi FC will face Kabowa Dream Team as they try to force a bounce back from their first game defeat to Mbarara QC.
The schedule shall close with Edgars Youth Program and Nansana Aska, both seeking their first win of the season since they both lost on matchday 1 to Kabowa Dream Team 4-3 and Lubaga Grameen 6-2.
