FWSL: Kawempe Muslim edge Amus to extend command at the top

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC tightened their hold on the FUFA Women Super League summit with a 2–1 win over Amus College WFC on matchday seven at Kawempe Muslim SS Grounds.

The leaders, unbeaten since kick-off day, showed their usual composure to secure a sixth straight victory. 

Agnes Nabukenya opened the scoring with a neat finish, and sustained pressure forced Amus defender Jazirah Amiya into an own goal for a 2–0 cushion.

Amus fought back through Doreen Aujat, but Kawempe stayed solid to move to 19 points and keep their flawless run intact.

Elsewhere, newcomers St. Noa GFC enjoyed a breakthrough 2–0 win away to Olila High School in Soroti, their first victory on the road and second of the season. 

Player of the Match Patricia Nayiga struck in the 32nd minute, and debutant Shakirah Kasango buried the second shortly after halftime. 

The clean sheet was also their first of the campaign.

Olila remain winless at the bottom with three points from three draws.

In Masindi, Lady Doves FC eased past Asubo Ladies FC 3–1, with Resty Kobusobozi scoring twice and Dorcus Kwikiriza adding another. Bridget Nabayaza scored Asubo’s consolation.

At Makerere University Grounds, Makerere University WFC and She Corporate FC played out a tough goalless draw.
