The Women’s Super League enters its one-third stage this weekend with six matches spread over two days, and teams pushing hard to gain ground before the season settles into its middle phase.

League leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will be chasing a sixth consecutive victory when they host fourth-placed Amus College WFC at Kawempe Muslim SS Ground.

Kawempe have been ruthless so far, with different players delivering at crucial moments.

But Amus arrive confident, boosted by the return of Kenyan defender Shayline Opisa. Coach Frank Anyau is expected to set up a compact, counter-attacking side, an approach that has unsettled many opponents. It’s the standout fixture of the weekend.

Amus College WFC.

Makerere University WFC welcome She Corporate FC at Makerere as both teams look to reset.

She Corporate’s revival was halted by Kawempe last weekend, but with Jesca Namanda and Sandra Kisakye up front, they remain dangerous.

Makerere, fighting to avoid a third straight loss, usually thrive on the physical edge of playing at home. Expect a tense, spirited contest.

In Soroti, Olila H/S WFC face St Noa Girls-Zana, who are winless in three games despite playing good football. Their biggest issue has been scoring, but they hope this weekend brings relief.

Olila are stubborn at home, making this a clash likely to be settled by a single moment of calm.

At Katusabe Ground in Masindi, Lady Doves FC continue searching for their first meaningful breakthrough as they host Asubo Ladies FC.

Lady Doves’ problems run deeper than the table shows and need quick fixing.

Asubo, unbeaten in their last three draws, are slowly finding rhythm.

Confidence is returning, and a first win feels within reach. This is one of the weekend’s most unpredictable games.

On Sunday, Kampala Queens FC host Uganda Martyrs H/S WFC at Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

The champions want a third straight win, something they haven’t managed this season.

Firew Asefa’s side has looked sharper at home, combining flowing attacking play with two recent clean sheets.

Uganda Martyrs drew here last season and will believe they can frustrate the hosts again.

At Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Rines SS WFC take on She Maroons FC.

Both teams won last weekend, and victory for either would provide a big jump up the standings.

Rines will rely on Phiona Arach and Yasmeen Nalukwago, while She Maroons look to the red-hot Lillian Kasuubo.
