FUFA Women Super League
- Olila HS 1-3 Kawempe Muslim
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC finally got their campaign rolling in style, coming from behind to beat Olila High School WFC 3–1 in Soroti on Matchday Two of the 2025/26 FUFA Women’s Super League.
After a 1–1 draw with defending champions Kampala Queens last weekend, the “Valley Warriors” showed their trademark, determination and attacking flair to claim their first win of the season and send a clear message to the rest of the league.
Olila shocked the visitors just a minute into the second half when forward Brenda Atwani opened the scoring, briefly lifting home hopes. But that only fired up the Kawempe side.
Moments later, Shadia Nabirye drew them level with a calm finish before captain Agnes Nabukenya struck to put Kawempe ahead. New signing Latifah Nakasi then wrapped it up with her first goal for the club, a sweet moment for the Mukono-bred forward.
Head coach Ayub Khalifa praised his side’s response after conceding early. “We showed character and patience. The girls kept their shape and took their chances well,” he said.
The victory lifts Kawempe Muslim to the top of the early standings with four points, level with Kampala Queens, who edged Makerere University 2–1 in another Saturday fixture.
Elsewhere, Rines SS WFC and Asubo Ladies played out a goalless draw. Matchday Two continues Sunday, with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga hosting Amus College, Lady Doves facing St. Noa Girls and She Maroons taking on She Corporate.
