She Maroons stepped onto the Luzira pitch on Saturday still grieving the loss of their late Performance Analyst Fausta Nalugwa.

By the final whistle, they had turned that emotion into one of their most meaningful wins of the season, and ended Kampala Queens’ unbeaten run.

Under a calm morning sky, She Maroons played with clarity and purpose, defeating the title contenders 2–0 to claim their third win of the campaign.

The first half was lively but tight, with both teams pushing without reward. The breakthrough finally came seven minutes into the second half.

Darren Nakayiwa burst through the Kampala Queens defence on a brilliant solo run and finished calmly, sending the home crowd into celebration.

Ten minutes later, Lillian Kasuubo made it 2–0 from the penalty spot, sealing a victory soaked in emotion and determination.

By the end, She Maroons had not only secured three crucial points but also handed Kampala Queens their first loss of the 2025–26 season.

The Maroons are now sixth with 11 points, while Kampala Queens stay second after eight games.

Elsewhere, Kawempe Muslim Ladies kept their momentum alive with a narrow 1–0 win over Lady Doves, courtesy of Asia Nakibuuka’s strike, a result that strengthens their title push.

St Noa Girls delivered the day’s biggest performance, sweeping aside Asubo Ladies 4–0, with Lwalisa Dorcas scoring twice to earn Woman of the Match with Patricia Nayiga and Esther Babirye putting the icing on the cake.

She Corporate also impressed as they returned to winning ways in a 2–0 victory against Rines SS through goals from Sandra Kisakye and Rebecca Nakato, while Amus College dominated Makerere University thanks to an Edina Wanda hat-trick.

At the St. Gerald’s stadium, Uganda Martyrs’ fixture against Olila was not played after the visitors failed to show up, something that sees the hosts take a 3-0 walkover.
