FUFA Women Super League
- Uganda Martyrs 0-1 Kawempe Muslim
- Olila High School 0-0 Rines SS WFC
- St.Noa 2-2 Makerere University
Kawempe Muslim Ladies moved to the top of the FUFA Women Super League after a narrow 1-0 win over Uganda Martyrs Lubaga on Saturday at St. Gerald’s Stadium.
In-form forward Jovia Nakagolo was once again the hero, striking five minutes into the second half to hand Kawempe a hard-fought victory.
Her well-taken goal, calmly slotted past goalkeeper Joan Namusisi, highlighted her growing influence this season.
Kawempe controlled the first half, with Latifa Nakasi, playing against her former club and Agnes Nabukenya both threatening early on.
The breakthrough finally came soon after the restart, Nakagolo reacting quickest to put the visitors ahead.
Uganda Martyrs pushed hard for an equalizer, and Nusurah Nakintu came closest when her powerful effort crashed against the crossbar. Kawempe’s defense held firm to see out the win.
The result lifts Kawempe to 10 points, three clear of Kampala Queens and She Corporate, who play on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Olila High School and Rines SS WFC drew 0-0, while St. Noa Girls and Makerere University shared a 2-2 draw.
