2025/26 FUFA Women Super League | MD 6
- Uganda Martyrs 0-1 Rines
- St Noa 0-1 Kampala Queens
Rines SS Women FC finally broke their winless streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC on Saturday in the FUFA Women Super League.
Yasmeen Nakukwago was the hero of the day, capitalizing on a goalkeeping error from Joan Namusisi in the 27th minute.
The Uganda Martyrs custodian misjudged a corner and slipped, allowing Nakukwago to calmly slot home from close range, the only goal of the game.
Uganda Martyrs pushed hard for an equalizer, bringing on Sharon Nabowa and Hilda Nakirijja early in the second half to sharpen their attack.
But Rines stayed organized and compact, frustrating the hosts with disciplined defending.
Goalkeeper Bridget Nansamba was outstanding, pulling off two crucial saves to deny Sharon and substitute Moureen Kizza, earning her the Player of the Match award.
The win lifts Rines to fourth place on seven points, while Uganda Martyrs drop to ninth with five.
Rines will host She Maroons at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on November 16, as Uganda Martyrs travel to face Kampala Queens.
Elsewhere, Kampala Queens continued their impressive run with a 1-0 win over St Noa at Wankulukuku.

Catherine Nagadya’s first-half strike sealed their fourth win of the season and sent them top of the table, still unbeaten.
