FUFA Women Super League match day thirteen climaxes on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM as struggling Rines SS Women Football Club will be visiting Kampala Queens at MTN-Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

A win for Kampala Queens would put the defending champions just one point behind current leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC who dropped points on Saturday.

Rines are only one point above relegation and they’ll be hoping to shock the hosts and register their first ever league victory against them to go to fourth place.

Coming into this game, Kampala Queens played to a 1-all draw with UCU Lady Cardinals in their previous game while Rines was also held by Makerere with the same scoreline.

In the first leg, Kampala Queens defeated Rines 2-0 thanks to Zaina Nandede and Fazila Ikwput‘s goals.

Sunday’s meeting will be sixth between the two sides and Kampala Queens have won all the previous five, scoring 11 goals and conceding only two in the process.

Key Players to Watch and Team News

Zaina Nandede and Catherine Nagadya both have four goals and four assists each this season and they’ll be hoping to add on their tally against a side that has conceded 21 goals, the second most in the league.

For Rines, they will rely on Amina Nababi and Justine Ayerango who are their top scorers this season with three goals each. Nababi scored her third goal of the season in the previous game against Makerere.

Nababi has been involved in 13 goals across all competitions this season and will be the key player to lead Rines’ striking line if they are to get positive results in Lugogo.

Speaking to the media via club’s social media accounts, newly appointed Kampala Queens captain Daisy Nakaziro believes that they will get the work done.

“We were disappointed for dropping points in our last game but our coaches have prepared us well so that we win on Sunday. Rines is a strong team and we will do our best to get maximum points and get back to winning ways,” she said.

Kampala Queens will miss the services of forward Elizabeth Nakigozi, while Rines will be without Eva Nagayi and Moureen Nankinga.

The match will be broadcast live on FUFA TV channel 381.
