As the FUFA Women’s Super League continues, She Maroons and She Corporate win games, with matchday 10 commencing tomorrow.
At Maroons ground Luzira, She Maroons defeated St. Noa Girls 2-0. Nancy Mandela of St. Noa scored in her own net in the 40th minute of the first half, before Lillian Kasuubo sealed the victory in the 74th minute.
With the win, She Maroons climbed past St. Noa Girls, becoming 4th on the log with 15 points, as The Belles dropped to 5th place, remaining on 13 points.
Outside the capital, She Corporate minimized the gap on league leader Kawempe Muslims to 2 points with a 3-2 win over Olira High School at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.
League Top Scorer Jesca Namanda opened the score early in the 6th minute of the first half, before a dramatic second half where Hairat Babirye and Sandra Kisakye added goals in the mix of Brenda Atwani’s brace.
With the win, She Corporate got themselves comfortable in the second position with 23 points from 10 games, behind Kawempe Muslims Ladies on 25 points in 9 games.
The league shall continue tomorrow, Sunday, December 7, with four games at different pitches. League leaders Kawempe Muslims will be hosting Makerere University Women’s FC at Kawempe Muslims ground.
Elsewhere, Amus College will host Kampala Queens, as the defending champion faces intimidation of losing a third consecutive game following double defeats to She Maroons and She Corporate.
In the other games for tomorrow, Asubo Ladies will host Uganda Martyrs at Kampala Quality, while Lady Doves will host Rines at Katushabe Ground in Masindi.
