Newly promoted St. Noa Girls Secondary School earned their first-ever FUFA Women Super League victory with an edgy3–2 win over Lady Doves FC at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on Sunday.
It was a special moment for new head coach Tony Mawejje, who celebrated his first win in charge, assisted by fellow former Uganda Cranes international Vincent Kayizzi.
After drawing 1–1 away to Amus College on the opening day, St. Noa showed real character this time, holding their lead through a tense second half.
Dorcus Lwalisa gave them the early advantage in the 17th minute before Irene Nantege leveled for Lady Doves ten minutes later.
Last season’s top scorer Resty Kobusobozi then put the visitors ahead before the break.

St. Noa responded strongly after halftime. Patricia Nayiga equalized soon after the restart, and Esther Babirye Nabuuso struck the winner in the 52nd minute to seal a famous first win.
The result lifted St. Noa joint top of the table with Kampala Queens, Kawempe Muslim, She Maroons, and She Corporate, all on four points.
In Lubaga, Uganda Martyrs High School earned their first point of the season after a 2–2 draw with Amus College at St. Gerald Stadium.

Nusula Nakintu opened the scoring for Uganda Martyrs, but Edina Wanda hit back with a brace, first pouncing on a defensive lapse, then converting from the spot.
Brenda Muyana rescued a point for the hosts with a stunning 56th-minute equalizer. Amus remain unbeaten with two draws in two games.
Elsewhere in Luzira, She Maroons FC and She Corporate shared the spoils in a goalless stalemate.

Both teams had opened their seasons with convincing wins, She Maroons thumping Asubo Ladies 5–0 and She Corporate beating Uganda Martyrs 4–1, but this time neither side could find a breakthrough.
