Goran Lojo, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national, will take over reigns as the new Gazelles (Uganda Women’s National Basketball Team) coach.
“The Gazelles have a new head coach. Goran Lojo will take over the Senior Women’s National team,” FUBA revealed on Monday.
Coach Goran takes over from Alberto Antuna, who resigned from the role a month ago, to take charge of the Senegalese women’s team.

Lojo was the coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina women’s national team from September 2017 to February 2023.
He guided the team to the quarterfinals, eventually securing fifth place at the 2021 European Championships, their best-ever result in the history of the tournament.
Most recently, he coached German women’s Bundesliga club Rutronik Stars Keltern in January 2023, leading them to the German championship title in April.
