Bul FC has officially re-signed goalkeeper Tom Ikara, bringing him back to the club after a season playing in Ethiopia. Ikara, a standout Ugandan goalkeeper, returns to the Jinja-based club following a successful season with Sidama Coffee, where he made 15 appearances.
Ikara is no stranger to success in the Uganda Premier League. Before his move abroad, he spent two seasons with Bul FC, culminating in him winning the prestigious Uganda Premier League Golden Glove award for the 2022-2023 season. His impressive performances at the club earned him the opportunity to play internationally.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has a rich history in Ugandan football. He began his senior career with Busoga United in 2015, then known as Kirinya Jinja SS, helping them secure promotion to the top-flight league in the 2016-2017 season.
He later moved to KCCA FC, where he won multiple trophies before a loan spell at Mbarara City. After his time at Police FC, he joined Bul FC in 2020, where he truly made his mark.
Ikara’s return to Bul FC sets up an exciting competition for the number one spot with fellow national team goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.
