Abashweki, the celebrated Ntare School Class of 2008–2013 team and powerhouse of the Ntare Lions League, have struck a one-year partnership with Amara Cosmetics, adding another big name to a lineup that already includes rugby giants Heathens.

The deal, sealed ahead of Season 16 of Uganda’s premier Old Boys’ Sunday soccer league, highlights Abashweki’s growing reputation for headline partnerships. Financial terms were not disclosed, but both sides hailed the move as transformative.

Heathens representive Lucy Ssuubi at the patnership.

Abashweki president Lincoln Karuhanga praised the Cosmetics company for backing local sport. “We thank Cosmetics company for joining us on this journey. We believe this partnership will elevate your brand to new heights,” he said at the Kampala launch.

Eugene Too, General Manager of Haco East and Central Africa, Amara’s parent company, called the partnership a statement of purpose.

“Haco is more than a brand; we aim to make a social impact. Supporting local talent through sport speaks volumes,” he said.

Three-time league champions and last season’s “Smartest Team,” Abashweki have blended seasoned stars with fresh recruits for the new campaign.

Their captain welcomed the sponsorship as the spark for another title run. “With the support, we’re ready to deliver our best,” he said.

From their alliance with Heathens Rugby Club to this bold new cosmetic connection, Abashweki continue to show that football is about more than trophies, it’s a stage for community, style, and enduring school spirit.
