Capacity building at any level is an opportunity one should welcome wholeheartedly in any field. And in Ugandan sports, it rarely presents itself.
This is the very reason why, when such an international opportunity arises, it is treated as invaluable and seized immediately.
The latest Ugandan to travel for further education is Kampala University Hockey Head Coach and National Trainer, Frank Ssemujju Wyne.

As you read this, he is already in Cairo, Egypt, attending the International Hockey Federation (IHF) B License course, which concludes on 16th April 2025.
The former Police Uganda Head Coach and IHF C certified coach is pursuing a higher qualification in the ongoing 10-day course. Upon completion, he will be the second Ugandan to attain this coaching level.
Coach Aziz Yakub of Uganda Police and Gombe Secondary School is the other Ugandan with a B License.
His knowledge and expertise will be of great value to Uganda as the hockey fraternity continues to build capacity and establish structures.
