Experienced defender Walter Ochora has pledged his future to BUL FC, signing a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Eastern Giants in the 2018/19 season from KCCA FC, made the decision with one clear goal in mind, winning the Uganda Premier League.
“I am excited to extend my stay at BUL FC. The love and the good environment here made it easy for me to stay,” Ochora told the club website.
“There’s a lot I still need to achieve with this great club. My main target now is to win more trophies, especially the league title.”
Over his six-year stint with the Jinja-based side, Ochora has grown into a reliable figure at the back while also contributing offensively, scoring 13 goals in all competitions.
He played a pivotal role in BUL’s historic Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph in 2022 and currently serves as the club’s second captain.
His extension is seen as a major boost by head coach Abbey Kikomeko, who also recently renewed his contract.
“I’m happy Ochora agreed to stay. He is one of my best defenders, he has the character, attitude, and love for the club. His stay will be vital for our success,” said Kikomeko.
BUL FC enjoyed a strong 2024/25 campaign, finishing third and going unbeaten in the second round.
