The New York Red Bulls II have solidified their midfield powerhouse, re-signing Ibrahim Kasule to a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through 2026, pending visa and registration approval.

Kasule’s journey with New York Red Bulls II has been nothing short of remarkable. Since joining the club, the 21-year-old Ugandan midfielder has made 48 appearances, netting 22 goals and contributing eight assists.
His stellar performances have etched his name into the club’s history, tying him with Jared Stroud as the second all-time leading goal scorer.
His 15-goal season in 2023 matched the single-season club record, showcasing his ability to deliver in crucial moments.
Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya expressed his excitement about Kasule’s re-signing:

Adding that; “He is a talented midfielder that has a nose for the goal, and we are excited to keep him with our club.”

Recognized as MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month twice in 2023, his consistency and flair made him a standout in the league.
His influence extends beyond club football, as he made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on April 9, 2023, against Columbus Crew 2, and his New York Red Bulls debut on August 31, 2023, against the New England Revolution.
These milestones reflect his adaptability and growth in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
During this period, the former Wakiso attacking midfielder also earned him a place on Uganda’s national team, the Cranes making his debut in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Algeria on October 13, 2023.
