ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers: Uganda’s Schedule and Ranking

The schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers has been released, with the tournament set to get underway on November 22 in Windhoek, Namibia.

Seven teams, including Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, and hosts Namibia, will compete for the top two positions in this round-robin tournament.

The top two teams will qualify for next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States.

Uganda will begin its campaign against its East African rivals Tanzania on November 22, the opening day of the event.

The Cricket Cranes will then face the highest-ranked side in the competition, Zimbabwe, the following day before taking on Namibia on match day three.

Nigeria will present the opposition for the Cricket Cranes on match day four, and then the biggest East African derby will take center stage on November 28 as Uganda faces off against Kenya.

Uganda’s final game will be against Rwanda on November 29.

Uganda heads into this Qualifier ranked 23rd in the ICC rankings. They will be ranked 3rd at the event behind only Zimbabwe and Namibia, who are 11th and 13th respectively in the World.

Kenya is ranked 29th, Tanzania 31st, while Nigeria and Rwanda are 42nd and 62nd respectively.

  • Wednesday, November 22 – Uganda vs Tanzania
  • Thursday, November 23 – Zimbabwe vs Uganda
  • Friday, November 24 – Namibia vs Uganda
  • Monday, November 27 – Uganda vs Nigeria
  • Tuesday, November 28 – Uganda vs Kenya
  • Wednesday, November 29 – Uganda vs Rwanda
