Tanzania got off to a flying start at the Dar Gymkhana Ground, dismantling Mali for just 18 runs in 12.5 overs.

Harsheed Chohan (2-3) and Laksh Bakrania (2-4) provided excellent support to the standout performer, Sanjaykumar Thakor, who took an exceptional 4-4 in 3 overs.

Mali’s batters struggled throughout, with Sanze Kamate (3 off 5 balls), Yacouba Konate (3 off 13 balls), and Amara Nimaga (2 off 3 balls) offering little resistance.

Tanzania chased down the target in just 0.5 overs, scoring 19/0, with Zafar Khan leading the charge, smashing 12 off 4 balls*.

This victory not only gave Tanzania a 10-wicket win but also put them in pole position with a massive net run rate after Day 1.

Malawi Outclasses Lesotho in Tournament Opener at Dar Gymkhana Ground.

The first match of the tournament saw Malawi post an impressive 145/4 in 20 overs, thanks to a blistering innings by Sami Mohammad Sohail, who smashed 64 off 46 balls.

His innings set the foundation for Malawi’s total, with support from Donnex Kansonkho (29 off 38 balls) and Gift Kansonkho (19 off 14 balls).

Lesotho struggled in their chase, bowled out for 52 runs in 14.5 overs. The top scorers for Lesotho were Mohleki Elias Leoela (11 off 14 balls) and Waseem Yaqoob (11 off 15 balls). Daniel Jakiel (4-12) and Suhail Vayani (4-14) were the standout bowlers for Malawi, securing a 93-run victory.

Ghana’s Bowlers Overpower Cameroon in an 8-Wicket Win at Dar Gymkhana Ground

In a dominant display at the Dar Gymkhana Ground, Ghana bowled out Cameroon for just 40 runs in 14.2 overs. Richmond Baaleri (4-6) and Obed Harvey (3-5) led Ghana’s attack, restricting Cameroon’s batters from getting any momentum.

Cameroon’s performance with the bat saw Brian Dipita (7 off 9 balls) and Alexis Balla (7 off 16 balls) contributing to the score. Bruno Toube provided some resistance with the ball, taking 1-14. Ghana chased down the target with ease, scoring 41/2 in 8.1 overs, with Samson Awiah and Obed Harvey both contributing 17 runs.

In a heartwarming gesture, captain Obed Harvey shared his Player of the Match award with the young Richmond Baaleri, recognizing his outstanding bowling performance.
