ISBAT University has finally registered its first point in the Pepsi University Football League since joining in the 11th edition.
The milestone came after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Group A table leaders, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), at their new home ground in Kanyanya, Kawempe Division.
Ssentongo Joshua made history for ISBAT by scoring their first goal of their season, converting a penalty in the 56th minute after Katende Bahiira was fouled in the box.

Despite ISBAT’s improved performance and multiple scoring opportunities, IUIU equalized in the final minutes through Mumali Faizal’s precise strike.
Edwin Laston’s side showcased a more energetic and aggressive approach in the second round, creating notable goal-scoring chances.
However, the draw left ISBAT at the bottom of Group A with one point, while IUIU remained at the top with eight points.
The league continues on Saturday, February 15, with an exciting clash between Makerere University and Ndejje University at Makerere University Grounds.
