Jamus SC has officially unveiled Uganda Cranes striker Jude Ssemugabi, ending weeks of speculation about his next move.

The South Sudanese club announced his arrival in Juba on Friday, saying:

Coaching staff with Jude Ssemugabi .

“Please join us in welcoming Jude Ssemugabi, who arrived this afternoon! He will have his first training session tomorrow as we prepare for the match against Al-Hilal of Sudan. His talent will be a big boost to our team.”

Ssemugabi had been linked with Vipers SC, KCCA FC, and even Singapore’s Brunei DPMM FC, but Jamus won the race for his signature.

The forward leaves Kitara FC with a strong résumé. He scored for Uganda at the African Nations Championship in the 3-3 draw with South Africa and netted again in the Cranes’ 2-0 win over Somalia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

His rise has been steady starting at Kiboga Young, shining with Ssingo by winning the 2018 Masaza Cup and top scorer’s award, before proving himself in the Uganda Premier League with Mbarara City and Kitara.

At Jamus, he joins new signings Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Jaffar Kerepi, Martin Otwao, Ezra Bida, Rashid Okocha, and goalkeeper Richard Anyama, as the club rebuilds for the season.

For Ssemugabi, it’s a fresh challenge and a chance to prove himself on a new stage. Jamus fans now wait eagerly for his debut against Al-Hilal.
