Jinja Secondary School made history after winning the FEASSSA Girls’ 7s title with a hard-fought 12-5 victory over Kenya’s Kinale in Sunday’s final at the Bullring, Kakamega.

The Ugandan champions were consistent throughout the tournament, losing just once.

They opened with a 7-0 win over defending champions St. Joseph Kitale, repeated the scoreline against Nkoma SS, and thrashed Paul Harris 29-0. Their only slip came in a narrow 5-7 loss to Kenya’s St. Theresa.

That defeat only fueled their determination. In the final, Jinja scored two tries and defended with grit to hold off Kinale’s late response, sealing the title 12-5.

The victory crowns a memorable campaign for Jinja SS, who return home as East African champions and the new queens of schools rugby sevens.
