Sunday was a basketball day as Lugogo Indoor Arena hosted two female National Basketball League games.
A repeat of last season’s finals was the big one on the menu and finalists JKL Lady Dolphins had a score to settleand they came out strong.
They gave no chance to the defending champions UCU Lady Canons in a 51-67 victory in front of a reasonable crowd.
The other ladies’ game action had Magic Stormers hold on to dispatch Miracle Eaglets 64-56 in an end-to-end thriller.
The ladies are returning to action tomorrow with one game on the cards. At 6:30 pm, KIU Rangers will host Angels at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
