JKL Dolphins put on a clinical show to dispatch KIU Titans 71-53 in a National Basketball League clash on Wednesday night at YMCA Court, Wandegeya.

The Dolphins stormed out of the gates with a blistering 22-8 first quarter, setting the tone with aggressive defense and swift ball movement. KIU edged the second quarter 15-13, but JKL carried a 35-23 lead into the break.

The Titans showed signs of life in the third, cutting the deficit to four, capped by a slick Peter Ajok layup. But JKL responded emphatically, outscoring KIU 25-11 in the final period to seal the win.

Kesseng Kesseng dominated the paint with 15 points and 23 rebounds, while Haron Alinaitwe led all scorers with 21. Wilson Otweyo chipped in 15 for the Dolphins.

KIU’s Hon Kwany had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Akok Peter added 10 and 12, but their efforts weren’t enough to match JKL’s rhythm.

The victory is JKL’s eighth of the season and a major boost to their playoff push, while the Titans are left searching for answers after another tough loss.

At Abja Park, Kampala Rockets ended UCU Canons’ winning streak with 72-59 result.
