JKL Lady Dolphins sent a statement of intent to the rest of the pack after total annihilation of Nkumba Marines in a 130-49 victory in the ladies National Basketball League.
At the MTN Arena , Lugogo on Sunday, last year’s finalists took quick control of the game and led by a resounding 35-06 by the opening quarter.
As though the 29-point gap wasn’t big enough for the Dolphins, they made it a 49-point difference by halftime, as they led 64-15.
By the end of the third quarter, it was already out of hand as it was 102-34, a difference of 68 points. This then stretched to 81 by the final whistle.
Star player Brenda Ekone led the assault as she dropped a double double of 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Seven other players managed double figures for JKL Lady Dolphins, in a day that will stick long in their memory.
In the other game in the ladies category, KCCA Leopards defeated the Miracle Ravens 55-44 for their second victory this season.
Meanwhile, Miracle Ravens has lost each of their two games played so far this season.
