- JKL Lady Dolphins 82-52 JT Lady Jaguars
JKL Lady Dolphins made a powerful statement with an 82–52 rout of JT Lady Jaguars in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Coming off a midweek loss to UCU Lady Canons, the defending champions wasted no time bouncing back.
From the opening tip, they controlled the game, with Hope Akello leading the charge through a dominant double-double of 18 points and 19 rebounds.
JKL edged the first quarter 19–14, then pulled away with a 24-point burst in the second to take a 43–28 halftime lead.
The Jaguars struggled to find rhythm after the break, scoring just nine points in the third as the Dolphins stretched their advantage to 61–37.
Although the Jaguars showed some fight in the final period, JKL’s pace and precision sealed a comfortable 30-point victory.
The Dolphins showcased depth and balance, with Ruth Letaru (14), Zainah Lokwameri (13), and Tamasha Nsubuga (10) supporting Akello’s standout night.
For the Jaguars, Mercy Batamuliza scored 13, while Shakira Nanvubya and Maimuna Nabbosa added 11 and 10 points respectively but they couldn’t keep up with JKL’s intensity on both ends of the floor.
