Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have signed midfielder Joel Sserunjogi from Kajjansi United on a four-year contract.
The 22-year-old, who is the younger brother of former URA FC player Julius Mutyaba, has been on trial with KCCA FC for the past few weeks and has impressed the coaching staff.
Sserunjogi made his name in the Masaza Cup, where he helped Busiro to lift their maiden title in 2022, when they defeated Buddu 2-1 in Wankulukuku.
He is also a product of the URA FC junior team and has previously played for Kajjansi United in Buganda Regional League and featured in National Post Primaries for St Julian and Katera High School.
The youngster is known for his accurate long passes and his ability to create chances for his teammates.
The midfielder will be the latest addition to a KCCA FC squad that is already boasting the likes of João Gabriel, Vinicuis Silva, and Carlos Da silva.
Sserunjogi’s arrival at KCCA FC is a major coup for the club, as he is seen as one of the most promising young midfielders in Uganda.
He will be hoping to make an impact in the Startimes Uganda Premier League as the Kasasiro Boys will be looking to challenge for the title in the 2023/24 season.
