  • SC Villa Vs KCCA FC – FUFA Stadium, Kadiba – 8 pm

The Kampala Derby returns to FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, with SC Villa and KCCA FC meeting again in a clash that could shape the title race as the season nears its end.

KCCA FC sit third with 45 points, just four ahead of SC Villa in fourth after match round 21. With leaders Vipers and second-placed Kitara still within reach, both sides know anything less than victory could end their title hopes.

It is a fixture built on history. SC Villa lead Uganda’s domestic success with 17 league titles, while KCCA FC follow with 13. When they meet, form often gives way to pride and pressure.

KCCA won the first round 2-1 at Namboole, and they arrive in this derby unbeaten in their last five league games. But their recent Uganda Cup exit has left them needing a strong response.

SC Villa, meanwhile, have made Kadiba a stronghold. They have gone seven league matches without conceding and are unbeaten in their last eight, winning five and drawing three.

KCCA FC co-head coach Jackson Kaddu Magera knows the challenge ahead and has put the focus on discipline and detail.

“We have spent the week focusing heavily on tactical discipline and minimising errors. In a game of such intensity, the small details matter most. We are prepared, both physically and mentally,” Magera said.

KCCA have no new injury worries, though Derrick Nsibambi, Gabriel Joao, and Mubeezi remain unavailable.
