Uganda’s top seed, Paul Kasirye Kadoma, again stands victorious in the Kampala Club-organized Squash tournament to pocket 1.2 million.
In the second edition of the Kinyara Sugar-sponsored tournament, Kadoma defeated Kenyan James Dalidi in the final played on the evening of September 27.
In the run to become champion, in the Semifinal he defeated Jonathan Mwegamire, while Dalidi beat Michael Kawooya.
The men’s event was rich, with quarterfinalists walking home with 200,000 Uganda Shillings, with second runners-up getting 400,000 as the first runner-up won 800,000 Uganda Shillings.
The tournament played on invitation was last held in 2023, that time the sponsor injected in 15 millions Uganda Shillings the figure which got doubled in the second edition played in 2025.
In the women’s event, newcomer Mable Namakoye pulled off a semifinals performance along with Julian Owomugisha, just behind runner-up Elizabeth Musimenta, and the winner was Jane Njeri, who walked off with 1 Million Uganda Shillings.
The event also had Masters of 60 years and above, and the category was won by William Byeruhanga, beating Frank Dalidi, while Martin Fowler and Steven Mayanja finished as second runners-up.
Other categories for kids and newcomers were also held, and winners were rewarded with trophies and medals.
