  • Grace Church 2-4 Buganda Royal

Bunjako Beach served up surprises on Sunday, November 23, as reigning champions Kampala City fell to MUBS 3-2 in a penalty shootout, their first loss since last season.

The match ended 2-2 in normal time. Thomas Lasu and Yokole Talib scored for MUBS, while Sharif Opuuli and Ambrose Kigozi netted for Kampala City.

With this result, MUBS remain the only unbeaten team in the FUFA Beach Soccer Super League after three games of the 2025–2026 season.

Buganda Royal Institute also had reason to celebrate, securing their first win of the campaign with a 4-2 victory over Grace Church at the same Buwama venue.

Ambrose Alele struck twice, with Joseph Ssendi and Samuel Omukulo adding one each.

Jonathan Munawangu and Abdallah Katende scored for Grace Church, but the team remains winless after three matches, a run worsened by their failure to honour their opening fixture.

Elsewhere, giants St. Lawrence University endured more frustration, losing 3-1 on penalties to Mutoola Beach after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

They later regrouped and responded with a 4-2 win over Mengo Hill. Paul Lukyamuzi led the way with a brace, while Faluku Ssemukuutu and Rodgers Murungi added the other goals. Mengo Hill’s consolation came from Joseph Akabwayi.
