Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) secured a resounding 8-0 victory over Parachute Battalions from Malawi, earning their spot in the bronze medal match at the ongoing Africa Cup for Club Championship.

KHC commenced their tournament campaign with a 3-1 triumph over another Malawian team, the Scorpions. However, they suffered a setback in their previous match, succumbing to a 5-0 defeat against Kenya’s Western Jaguars.

Undeterred by their recent loss, KHC demonstrated resilience and determination, securing their place in the next phase with their emphatic win over Battalions.

Jordan Mpiima and Allan Malit led the scoring charge with two goals each, while Alfred Agaba, Stanley Tamale, Samuel Wakhisi, and Richard Ssemwogerere contributed one goal apiece.

This victory catapults KHC into fourth position with a tally of nine points. Their two wins, coupled with a walk-over awarded against Nigeria’s Police Machine, have solidified their position in the tournament standings.

KHC will face Genetrix in their final round-robin encounter on Saturday. The two teams will then lock horns once again on Sunday in the bronze medal match.
