FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens have completed the signing of experienced Kenyan midfielder Merceline Wayodi from Vihiga Queens on a two-year contract to become the latest addition to the club.
The former Kisumu All Starlets workaholic midfielder is already in the country to start her new life at Kampala Queens as they prepare for the return of the second round next weekend.
Its believed that another Kampala Queens new signing, Anita Namata, played a big role in convincing Wayodi to join the Queens of the Soccer.
The 29-yr old midfielder, helped Vihiga Queens to win the FKF Women League last season and captained Vihiga Queens in the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers where they finished fourth in a tournament that was hosted by Uganda.
Kampala Queens are doing their best to sign players and strengthen their squad to fight for the title and go back to CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers having failed to make it past the group stages last year.
