Reigning FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens are in advanced stages of negotiations to sign former She Corporate striker Favor Nambatya.
Nambatya will join the Queens of Soccer from Apaer Women Football Club in Rwanda and will become the second signing in the January transfer window after the arrival of Anita Namata.
The sharp striker was one of the key players as She Corporate FC won their maiden FUFA Women Super League title in the 2021/22 season.
In 2022, Nambatya helped She Corporate FC to win the silver medal in their maiden CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers where she netted four goals.
Despite boasting a prolific record, striker Florence Imanizabayo hasn’t scored a single goal for Kampala Queens since joining from Rayon Sport Women FC at the start of the season and this has prompted the search for a new striker to solve the goal scoring problem.
According to our reliable sources, Kampala Queens are also set to sign another striker before the end of the January transfer window.
Kampala Queens FC ended the first round of the FUFA Women Super League in the second position behind Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.
