Rines Goalkeeper Shines
Rines goalkeeper Bridget Nansamba was in inspired form, denying numerous attempts from the hosts. She parried away a dangerous freekick from Nalugya and Esther Namusoke’s rebounding header went wide in the first half.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Teddy Najjuma, Zaina Nandede, and Florence Imanizabayo all thwarted by Nansamba.
A late goal from substitute Imanizabayo was disallowed for offside in the dying minutes, handing Rines a hard-fought point against the reigning champions.
