Margret Kunihira has turned down Rayon Sport WFC deal after the club failed to meet her demands.

The teenager’s manager asked Rayon Sport WFC to pay his client 3 Million shillings as a monthly salary which Rayon Sport WFC said to be an insane salary.

The former Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC forward is ready to leave Kampala Queens FC after completing her contract with the club.

It is also believed that Kampala Queens FC asked the player to extend her contract but failed to agree on the player’s terms due to high demands.

However, many clubs are interested in signing the teenager even her former club Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

In the recently concluded CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, Kunihira got limited playing time and in the game against Buja Queens, she was brought off before the end of the first half, something that made her unhappy and played a role in her decision of leaving the club.

Last season, Kunihira had a sloppy campaign compared to previous seasons despite winning the league with Kampala Queens.

Kunihira joined Kampala Queens in early 2022 from Kawempe and scored her first goal in Kampala Queens jersey when they defeated She Maroons 1-0 in Luzira.

The 19-year-old speed merchant has been one of the best forwards in the country for over four years. In 2019, Kunihira helped the Uganda U-17 Women’s National Team to win the COSAFA in Mauritius and CECAFA in Uganda.

In 2022, Kunihira scored one of three goals Crested Cranes scored in the WAFCON in Morocco at the age of 17.

The flamboyant talent is currently with the Crested Cranes squad preparing for the 2024 WAFCON Qualifiers double encounters against Algeria.

Crested Cranes forward Margret Kunihira was also named in the 2023 NXGN 25 best wonderkids in Women’s football across the globe by GOAL.

She has previously played for Kings of Kings College, Tooro Queens FC, Asubo Gafford Ladies FC, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Kampala Queens FC.
