Kampala Queens, reigning champions of the FUFA Women Super League, have appointed Charles Ayiekoh Lukula as their new head coach, replacing Charles Kadidi Ssenyange who has ben in charge for only 5 months.
With a 2-year contract in hand, Ayiekoh has set ambitious goals for his new club, focusing on retaining the league title, excelling in the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, and fostering player development.
Charles Ayiekoh guided She Corporate FC to finish second in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers in Tanzania.

In the same year, Ayiekoh joined Simba Queens and helped them to reach the semifinals of the Women’s Champions League, becoming the first ever CECAFA region club to reach the stage and he hopes to replicate the same performance at Kampala Queens.
What Ayiekoh said
Via the club’s social medias, Ayiekoh revealed the three major targets at the club.
“I’m happy to join the best club in the country. Kampala Queens are the defending champions of the FUFA Women Super League and my first target at the club is to retain the title.” Lukula started

“The second target is to make sure that the club put up a good a performance in the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers. I have the experience in coaching women football and I’m sure I will make it happen.” he added
“My other assignment at the club is to make sure that I develop the players to become better and great in the future and build a formidable team.” He concluded on the targets.
Lukula also revealed how he will achieve all the assignments at Kampala Queens.
“I have moved with my staff and I believe in them because they’re experienced in Women football especially coach Ali Zinda and we’re going to use collective effort to achieve it.” He concluded

According to the club’s website, Ayiekoh will be deputized by Ali Zzinda (first assistant), Tonny Mawejje (second assistant), John Bosco Kassozi (Statistician), Sekiziyivu Juma (Fitness trainer) and Waidah Abdul Ghan (kits manager).
The new coach won’t have much time to settle in. On January 3rd, Kampala Queens face off against league giants Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC at their home turf in Lugogo.
