The Fountain Gate Sports Academy has confirmed 12 teams that will compete in the third edition of the GETS International Football Tournament, to be held in Dodoma, Tanzania from September 10-23, 2023.
After an early exit from CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, Kampala Queens have now shifted focus on the new season and will start with the GETs International tournament.
The champions of Uganda, Kampala Queens, have replaced Wakiso Hill Women Football Club who had earlier confirmed its participation in the tournament.

The GETS International Football Tournament with the title “Girls Empowerment Through Soccer” is an event organized by the Fountain Gate Academy, with the technical support of the Fountain Gate Sports Academy.
Hosts Fountain Gate Princess, Gets Program, Kampala Queens, JKT Queens, Ceasia Queens, Queens Police, CFC Amani, Alliance Girls, New Generation, The Queens Mother, Lion Queens and Year Old Princess are the 12 confirmed teams that will compete in the GETS International Football Tournament this year.
The tournament was open to girls’ teams from all over Tanzania and Africa, and the participation fee was $2,000 per team including accommodation and participation fee.
The tournament will focus on values such as tolerance, fairness, teamwork, and mutual respect.
