The three-phased Kampala Regional 3rd Division league is set to wind up with the first round. All 16 teams in the league will be in action on Sunday, February 8, at different playgrounds.
Mutungo FC, Nsambya United, Police Young, and Wembley Boys are at home, with some already beaten to the top 8 line, while some remain with a task to take on.
At Yes Center, Nsambya will host Kisugu FC, as both teams are highly hoping to complete a top 8 finish, with both teams conditioned to win in order to be on the safe side.
Nsambya is hoping to rely much on vintage striker Tonny Odur and defender Hakim Matovu, while Kisugu is hoping for sparks from their midfield, which has young talents like Brian Matu and Mike Abura.
Going into the fixture, both teams are tied on 18 points and a 6-goal difference, as Kisugu sits on the edge in 9th position, and Nsambya is 8th, as both teams vie for the last slot of the top 8.
Mutungo FC will host Lufula FC as they target at least a point from the game to take place at Luzira Prisons ground.
Mutungo FC is fourth with 20 points, and Lufula FC already knows its fate, as they are living with no chance to get in the top 8. They are ranked 16th with just 10 points.
Either Wembley Boys or Born Talent are the only teams outside the top 9 but with chances to finish in the top half, depending on the performance of the Blacks Stars FC, Nsambya SC, and Kisugu United.
Though both teams will be against automatic bottom finish sides, Born Talent is hosting Lungujja Galaxy, who sits at the bottom half. Wambeleys Boys will host 17th-ranked Water FC at their home, East High Ntinda.
Police Young will welcome Proline at Kira Road Police Stadium. Proline is also likely to be in a good position to finish in the top half. Police Young is the only side that is 100% in the top half.
PCCP FC will host Buganda Road in Kibuli as they look for only a point. Lukuli FC will take on Edgars FC, also looking for a point.
