Striker Benon Lutaaya scored his 15th goal of the season, the only goal for Black Stars FC, to beat Mutungo FC 1-0 for their fifth straight win of the second round as center back Emma Asiku bagged the man of the match prize.
In the game that was much dominated by the visiting side, Mutungo FC, Lutaaya found the back of the net after the hour mark at Kanyanya Express ground in a game played on Sunday, March 22, with Black Stars marking their first appearance at home perfect following a start of four away wins in a row.
In the game, Mutungo FC, relying on players like Innocent Tumuhimbise, Deogracius Adule, Yokole Talib, and Wasswa Dickson, was sharper, but defender Emma Asiku led the home team into a safe zone with his commanding performance in the heart of the defense.
Now Black Stars FC remains the only unbeaten team since the commencement of the second round with their win over Mutungo FC, which also kept them in the gap as they chase the Kampala Regional title and later a slot to FUFA Big League.
In other games in the promotion group, Edgars FC humbled Mbogo FC 3-0, Born Talent defeated Kisugu FC 2-0 having both big wins on the road, while at home, PCCP FC managed to beat Police Young FC 1-0.
