In the Kampala Region today, on March 11, Black Star attacked Mbogo FC at their home, Kawempe Muslim School Ground, and beat them 3-1.
As is often the case when the weak throw the first threat, Mbogo FC opened the scoring when striker Abubakar Takuba headed in within a minute.
However, Black Star’s Denver man, Benon Lutaaya, equalized within seconds of Mbogo FC opening the score. Black Star went on to show much upset with a series of attacks.
As Mbogo FC countered their attacks, Hamza Kasumba fired two shots, but Black Star goalkeeper Siraje Masembe slid them out of the goal.
However, that did not cut the brutality of Black Star, led by Sam Ssekitto, which angered Takuba, and he stirred up an open brawl that caused him to receive a yellow card for the foul on Ssekitto in a tense moment, which was enticed by Black Star’s fans, accompanied by challenging words towards the player.
The match ended 1-1 at halftime, although Mbogo FC were not at ease on the pitch amid Black Star’s relentless attacks.
With the second half returned, Black Star striker Lutaaya picked up an injury on his right foot, and Mbogo FC came to believe they had found relief, but Alex Ssekyanzi stepped up and scored two goals that finished the game, while Ivan Kanda centered the interrogation against Mbogo FC players.
With the torture continuing to grow against Mbogo FC, Takuba became more rude and committed a foul, which resulted in him receiving a red card after being warned several times, along with other Mbogo FC players.
