  • Rez Life Saints 55-73 Kampala Rockets

The Kampala Rockets stormed past Rezlife Saints 73–55 on Wednesday night in a commanding National Basketball League (NBL) clash at Abja Park.

Brian Opio led the way with 17 points, while Puati Kikomba added a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Gideon Kasasa contributed 11 points as the Rockets pulled away with a blistering third quarter that changed the game.

After edging the first two quarters 16–14 and 16–13, the Rockets erupted with 27 points in the third while holding the Saints to just 9. Though Rezlife pushed back in the fourth, the outcome was already settled.

Micheal Otieno paced the Saints with 17 points, and Rin Tueny Mabor posted 10 points and 10 rebounds. But Rezlife struggled to keep up with the Rockets’ pace and crisp ball movement, particularly in transition.

The result shows Rezlife’s offensive inconsistency basing on their recent results with a win over UCU on Wednesday and loss against Namuwongo Blazers on Sunday while the Rockets continue to grow in confidence and depth as the season rolls on, currently laying in 6th with all eyes set on a playoff place.

Elsewhere in the NBL, Sommet edged JKL Dolphins 68–64 in a tight contest at YMCA Wandegeya, and Victoria Crocs stunned JT Jaguars 74–66 at Lugogo.
