Alex Kanabi continued his fine form in the Uganda Boxing Champions League, stopping Bashir “Horse Power” Serugo in the fourth round of their lightweight middleweight main event on Saturday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Fresh from beating Nerrick Tumusiime weeks ago, the KCCA boxer recovered from a slow start to dominate Serugo, who had entered the ring confident under Lukanga Boxing Club colors.
Serugo looked sharp early, but Kanabi found his rhythm late in the first round and took control. He bossed the second and third rounds, leaving Serugo struggling to stay on his feet after putting him to the floor in the third. By the fourth, the referee stepped in, awarding Kanabi a well-earned victory to the delight of his fans.
