Plascon Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to Ugandan football as the sponsor of the 51st Stanbic Uganda Cup during the Round of 64 draw held on January 6th, 2025, at Serena Hotel.
Speaking at the event, Plascon’s Brand Manager, Daniel Kayongo, underscored the company’s dedication to talent development and creating opportunities for young players across the country.
“We know more and more teams around the country are participating and have seen many players rise from this tournament to great heights,” Kayongo said.
He highlighted Plascon’s aim to provide a platform for talent growth, ensuring young players gain recognition and secure meaningful careers.
This year’s tournament saw a record 178 teams competing in the preliminary rounds, with 33 regional teams joining the 16 Uganda Premier League and 15 Big League clubs in the Round of 64.
