Just four months after stepping down, Deo Kasozi is back as President of Kitara FC. The announcement came Friday afternoon at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.
Kasozi had declared on June 9, 2025, that he would not return, and ASP Gilbert Nyanja briefly took over in acting capacity.
But Nyanja, a police officer, later said his work schedule made it impossible to serve fully, prompting the club to reinstate Kasozi on a new three-year term.
Even after leaving the top seat, Kasozi stayed close to the club as Chief Community Resource Mobilizer. His return now puts him back in charge.
“I am glad to return as Club President,” Kasozi said. “We have our targets, and my return will push us to greater heights. Beyond winning trophies, we want to build Kitara into an institution that lasts.”
He added that part of his plan is to move the club into their new home at Hoima City Stadium soon.
Kasozi’s comeback is seen as a chance for stability and clear direction as Kitara balances its ambitions on the pitch with long-term growth according to all those around the Club.
