Kawempe Muslim Ladies, riding high atop the Women’s Super League table, look to extend their dominant run when they host Makerere University Ladies this Wednesday at 4:00PM at the Kawempe Muslim ground.
The Valley Warriors, boasting a perfect record since the league’s resumption, aim to capitalize on their game in hand and further distance themselves from rivals Kampala Queens.
They come into the midweek fixture on 13 points, the same as defending champions Kampala Queens, but are in fantastic form following a 5-0 demolition job against new entrants Wakiso Hill WFC over the weekend.
“We’ve prepared well, and the girls are ready to give their all for maximum points,” assistant coach Moses Nkata stated.
The return of skipper Phiona Nabulime adds a vital boost to their already potent attack. The midfielder missed the resounding victory againsts Wakiso Hill WFC.
Makerere University, however, enter the match seeking redemption after their first league defeat, a 3-0 humbling against She Maroons FC at the Prison grounds in Luzira.
They face a daunting task against the in-form Kawempe, but their hunger to bounce back could provide a thrilling contest.
