With less than a fortnight to the start of the 2024/24 campaign, KCCA FC have appointed Eng. Andrew Sserunjogi Mukiibi as the new chairman.

This is after former chairman, Martin Ssekajja tended his resignation at the end of July.

Ssekajja has held the position for the past four years, having been appointed in 2019 by the club patron, Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago.

“Please accept this letter as formal notification of my intention yo resign from my position as Chairman KCCA FC,” a letter dated July 26 2023 reads.

However, he has since then been holding the position as the club sought a worthy successor.

“I am happy to hold fort for the period until appointment of a substantive chairperson,” Ssekajja pledged.

The new chairman doesn’t hold significant experience but comes in to handle the club’s renaissance.

The club continues to endure a trophy drought having gone trophy-less for the past four years, with the last piece of silverware coming in 2019 under head coach Mike Mutebi.

Among the other appointments in the new cabinet is Aggrey Ashaba, who will continue as the club vice chairman.
