With the champion of the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League likely to be decided by goal difference, KCCA FC is focused on getting a whole lot of them in the final two matches.
KCCA ties on points (49) with third-placed SC Villa ad leaders Vipers, but only occupy second as their 16-goal difference is less than the latter’s 22.
“We can score 10 goals in the next two games,” KCCA assistant coach Charles Ssenyange said when asked about the team’s recent struggles in front of goal, after their narrow 1-0 win over BUL FC on Tuesday at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

“This game is over, and in the next one, it might not be the same problem of putting the ball in the net,” Ssenyange noted.
“Goals might decide the champion; we, too, are focused on that,” Ssenyange added.
“Already, you know what is happening now in our league because any blink, the cup is taken. That is why I was very happy about the outcome of the game.”

Their last two games will see them visit relegation-threatened Busoga United and Soltilo Bright Stars.
Villa has two home games against Blacks Power FC and URA FC, while Vipers will visit BUL, before hosting Busoga United.
