KCCA FC head coach Jackson Mayanja Mia Mia risks FUFA Dispensary action after calling out center referee Mashood Ssali in the team’s 1-0 loss to Vipers SC.

Milton Karisa induced pain in the Kasasiro Boys on Friday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, and the defeat didn’t go down well with Mayanja.

“Today, the best team lost. I want to look straight into the camera without fear and say it, and I don’t care what happens,” an agitated Mayanja said he contested the refereeing on the evening.

“Mashood Ssali is a problem to this country, that I say,” he said before getting hard with the journalists who demanded an explanation for his accusations.

After an unpleasant exchange with the media, Mayanja stormed out of the press conference.

These statements, coupled with overall conduct on the pitch are highly likely will draw FUFA’s whip.

The evening encounter witnessed two giants, who played their hearts out, coupled with a passionate crowd that backed their respective teams for 90 minutes.

KCCA dropped to third in the race to the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League title and are on 45 points, joint with runners-up Vipers, who have a superior goal difference and a game in hand.

The latter also boasts two games in hand over table leaders SC Villa, who have 46 points.

While Vipers will return to action on Tuesday against Soltilo Bright Stars FC at Kavumba, KCCA will wait till next Saturday to visit rivals Express FC at Wankulukuku.
